These beautiful flowers have more uses than just being gifts on a first date.
Roses have anti-inflammatory purposes, and since they have astringent and antibacterial properties, they are excellent for people with oily, dry and acne-prone skin types.

Its extracts are very high in vitamin C and E, which enables loads of skin benefits like;

However, they have to be extracted either as oils or distilling in water to get rose water before being used on the skin.

Rose essential oil and rose water can be pretty expensive but can cut down costs by making yours using those beautiful roses you receive on special occasions.
Rosewater can be made by boiling water and turning the stove off, then adding your roses up the water and let cool. Strain and bottle et voila.
I store mine in ice cube trays in a refrigerator, so it lasts longer and only thaws what I need each time.

For rose oil,
Let the roses air dry, then put them in a jar and add any oil of choice. Let sit in a cool dark place or by your window sill for two weeks. Strain and bottle, and that’s it.
Now you have rose water and rose oil to use for all your beauty needs.
